Like many of us realize, the lock on a chastity device can strike against it while we move, creating a clanking noise with every step. A rubber band fixes this easily enough, yet I’ve heard some men say they—or their KH—actually prefer that sound as a constant reminder of their submission or chastity.
I tend to use a rubber band and have recently been using plastic locks marked with serial numbers. My preference for these isn’t because they are silent (they do make noise), but rather because they are lightweight. The small brass lock included with my CB6000s pulled down on the top of my penis, causing soreness. I experimented with a tiny luggage lock which was much more comfortable, though it still clicked against the cage while walking. This wasn’t an issue when it was just me and my wife at home, but since I wore mine 24/7 and family members, friends, or workmen would drop by unexpectedly, I didn’t want them to notice the noise. Therefore, for our situation, I usually choose a thin plastic lock that makes only a little sound—audible enough for my wife if she listens closely, but not loud enough for guests to pinpoint.
