I am out past the city and it is the only reason this is hard

Looking for somebody who will genuinely make the drive in February

I am out past the city. Everything else about this is straightforward and that one fact is why I have seen two people in four years rather than a reasonable number.

Both of them lived downtown, both of them were lovely, and both of them slowly stopped being able to make an evening work somewhere around the second winter. I do not think either of them was lying at the start. I think a fifty minute drive is a completely different proposition in June and in January and nobody believes that until they have done it.

Thirty seven, married twelve years, four of them open. My husband knows everything, comes to the first meeting, and stays home after that.

We can host, in a house, with a garage and no neighbours who care, which is worth a great deal in a city where almost nobody can.

What I want is one person over a long time who has looked at the map and is being honest with himself.

Not looking for anyone who will say the distance is nothing. Not looking for anyone who expects me to come downtown regularly, because I do that all week for work and I am not doing it in the evening. Not looking for anyone who will be here in July and gone in January, which I now assume until proven otherwise.

Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.
