I can host, but my building writes down who comes in
Looking for a couple who would rather solve this together than pretend
I can host and I want to be straight about what that actually means here, because a lot of men on this board say it and leave out the details. I have a one bedroom downtown, no roommates, and a building with a concierge who logs every guest and an elevator with a camera in it.
For most people that is fine. For a couple where one of them cannot afford to appear on a list anywhere, it is exactly the same problem they already have, and I would rather say so at the start than watch somebody's face when they arrive at the desk.
Thirty five, four years in this. Two arrangements, one of eighteen months and one of about a year, both of which ended for ordinary reasons and both of which spent a fair amount of energy on this exact question.
What I want is one couple, ongoing, with the husband properly in it rather than informed after the fact.
What I offer is somebody who will think about the logistics with you rather than making them your problem. I will drive out to the 905 in February. I have done it and I did not complain.
Not looking for a couple who need a place with no record of anything, because I am not it. Not looking for anything at short notice. Not looking to be chosen for an address, which is what happened the first time.
Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.

Answering as a couple means screening him together rather than one of you doing it privately. Start here.
