I am new and I would like one person I can ask stupid questions
Looking for somebody experienced who would answer a message now and then
I am eight months into reading about all of this and I have a list of questions on my phone that I have never asked anybody, because there is nobody to ask and because half of them would sound ridiculous in a first message to a stranger.
They are practical rather than dramatic. How do you tell somebody you have changed your mind. What do you actually do about the friend who works it out. Is it normal to feel nothing at all afterwards. How long is too long to take before deciding.
Thirty one, the 905, part of a couple. We have met nobody and we are in no hurry.
What I would like is one experienced person who would answer a message every couple of weeks and be honest rather than encouraging. I am not looking for a mentor in any formal sense and I would be embarrassed by anything that had a title. I would just like somebody who has done this to be reachable.
I have nothing to offer in return except that I am not going to be a burden and I will say thank you and go away when I stop needing it.
Not looking to meet anybody in any other sense. Not looking to be introduced to a group, since I am not ready to be in a room. Not looking for advice about whether we should be doing this at all.
Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.
Before you answer a post like this
Nobody here is asking for a date, so none of this is about arranging one.
- What it is actually like, against what you imagined
- How to tell your partner you want this
- When there is no scene where you live
