Four years as the husband and I have never met another one
Looking for two or three men in the same position, and that is the entire ask
My wife has three friends who know everything and a long correspondence with two women doing something similar, and I can see from across a room what it does for her. On my side there has been nobody at all, for four years, and I have finally decided that is worth doing something about.
So: two or three men, occasionally, for a coffee or a walk. I would like to talk about the things there is nowhere else to put. The flat Sunday that turns up for no reason. Whether anybody else finds the week beforehand harder than the night itself. What you say to a friend who is circling something he has half worked out. How other men handle January, when nothing is happening, everybody is away and you notice that you miss it.
Forty seven, the north shore. To be completely unambiguous about what this is not: my wife is not part of it, she will not be introduced, and this is not a longer road to meeting her. I am not looking to meet, date or arrange anything with anybody. If a single word of that disappoints you then the post was not meant for you and there are no hard feelings in it.
I am also not after advice, particularly from anybody with a system. My marriage works and I am not troubleshooting it.
I would like to sit with somebody who does not need the background explained. That is all of it.
Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.
Before you answer a post like this
Nobody here is asking for a date, so none of this is about arranging one.
- What it is actually like, against what you imagined
- How to tell your partner you want this
- When there is no scene where you live
