Six months on here, four replies, and I would like to know why
Looking for somebody to tell me what is wrong with how I write
Six months, somewhere around forty messages, four replies. Two were kind refusals and two were conversations that stopped after a week. I am posting partly to be found and partly because I have run out of ways to work out what I am doing wrong.
Forty four, on the Westchester side, and I have never done any of this. I read posts properly. I write about what I read. I do not ask for photographs, I do not describe anything, and I mention that I am new because pretending otherwise seems worse. Then nothing.
The theory I have arrived at is that new, plus older, plus an hour in the car is simply a hard combination. If that is the answer I would rather be told than keep adjusting sentences.
What I want is not complicated. A couple who would let me be useful and slow. Dinner with both of you, several times, before anything else is even discussed. I am in no hurry and I am not going to pretend to experience I do not have in order to get in the door.
I know a post that complains about the board is not charming. I decided that being honest about my six months is more use than another paragraph about how patient I am. Not looking for anyone who wants a man who knows what he is doing, and I understand that rules a great many of you out. Not looking to be anybody's project. Not looking for advice that amounts to keep trying.
Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.
