The man in your advertisement does not exist and I am not him
Looking for a couple who would like an accurate description instead of a flattering one
Here is the accurate version. Forty, five foot nine, a stone heavier than I would like, a job in logistics that I will bore you about if you let me, a knee that objects to stairs, and a habit of arriving fifteen minutes early and sitting in the car. I own two suits and one of them still fits.
I put that up because the posts I read describe a type, and the men answering them describe the type back, and then everybody meets an actual person and there is a small silent adjustment in the first thirty seconds that I have now watched happen about a dozen times.
Ten years in this, Salford, three arrangements, the longest a bit over four years, ended when they moved to be near her parents.
What I am actually good at is none of the things that get advertised. I am reliable to the point of being dull about it. I remember what people tell me. I have never let a plan slide, and when something has gone wrong I have said so the same day rather than three weeks later. In ten years, two women have described me as restful, and I have decided to take that as a compliment.
If what you want is the man from the post, he is on here somewhere and he will be marvellous for about six weeks. If you would rather have somebody who turns up in the rain in February for the fourth year running, that is me.
Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.
Before you answer a post like this
Answering as a couple means screening him together rather than one of you doing it privately. Start here.
