Looking for a reply with an actual answer in it
Here it is in one sentence: she sees one man, occasionally, he knows all of it and is not present, and we have been doing exactly that for seven years. If you can write a sentence back with the same amount of information in it, we will probably get on.
What we get instead is paragraphs. Long, warm, enthusiastic paragraphs about how respectful and discreet everyone intends to be, from which we can extract nothing at all. We have counted. Eleven replies to our last post, nine of which we could have swapped between senders without noticing.
Forty three and forty six, north of the river, both of us doing this since our thirties. We are not fragile and you do not have to warm us up. Tell us what you want, what you have done, where you live and what your week looks like, and we will do the same.
The one thing we cannot solve is where. We have a lodger in the box room and a landlord who visits, so a man with his own place is worth more to us than any other quality, and we know exactly how that sentence sounds.
Not looking for anyone who needs the terms explained. Not looking for anyone who wants to build up to the subject over a fortnight of pleasantries. Not looking for a man who will be brilliant for six weeks and then stop replying without saying anything, which is the only real complaint we have about this board.
Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.
Before you answer a post like this
Two people wrote this together, and both of them have to say yes to you. These are the three written for the man on the other end of it.
- What makes a single man read as safe
- Vetting a couple: the screening men skip
- The first meeting: a drink, all three of you
