Is shaving the optimal method for genital hair removal?

My husband (M) and my wife (s) have long been big fans of complete genital hair removal. For years, we relied on a fantastic waxing product, but the company recently updated their line, making that specific item unavailable. Consequently, we went back to shaving, which neither of us prefers because it encourages regrowth and ingrown hairs; plus, maintaining good results requires daily shaves. We’ve experimented with most available options: creams often cause burning, while wax products mostly leave a sticky residue and don’t perform as well.
