It feels like I’m caught in a bit of an emotional tug-of-war with this device. She has kept me confined non-stop since January, aside from two weeks off for vacation in March and about a week recently. When she found out my annual urologist appointment isn’t until September (she assumed it was late June), she quickly had me secured again. Here is the dilemma: being retired means I’m usually home with the device on, sleeping in it every night. She dislikes having me drive while locked up and occasionally unlocks me for a few hours if we need to go somewhere by car. Naturally, I am expected to re-secure myself when we get back or finish our errands. The trouble is that after being out for several hours, I really don’t want to climb back in the CD, so I often put it off. She probably notices my hesitation but usually stays quiet. Yesterday though, as soon as I announced I was locked up again, she remarked, “About time!” When I am secured, I actually enjoy being there and wish she hadn’t let me out initially. Yet, while unlocked, I want to stay that way and maybe get some self-pleasure in, which she carefully prevents. I know re-locking is the right move, even if it grates on me. Ultimately, when I am under lock and key, I love the experience and how it makes me feel. It’s just the act of having to go back into the key that bothers me. Does this sound like a true love/hate dynamic?
