Should the JailBird Base Ring Stay On or Come Off During Short Releases?

Do you take off your JailBird base ring when removing the device for a day or two? Because of my job, I need to remove the device in the morning and put it back on by afternoon. I struggle quite a bit getting everything in and out of the base ring, so I’m considering just leaving the base ring on all the time. I noticed some posts from RegularJoe indicating he keeps his base ring on constantly. He also mentioned that during playtime, he rotates the stud below his scrotum (which sounds like a good idea). My question is whether keeping the base ring on during short one or two-day release periods is common among JailBird users? If it is, have you experienced any problems wearing just the base ring without the cage?
