We meet at two in the afternoon because six is unbearable here
Looking for somebody whose day has an afternoon in it
Everything we do happens in the middle of the afternoon, and the reason is not mysterious. Driving anywhere in this county between four and seven is an hour of somebody's life spent being furious, and nobody arrives from that in a good mood.
So we meet at two. It has turned out to have advantages nobody warned us about. Daylight is more honest, a first meeting has a natural end because the traffic starts, and nobody has been drinking. Two of the three men we have met properly told us afterwards that the afternoon had been what made them relax.
Thirty five and thirty eight, the Orange County side, three years open. She works four long days and has Fridays free. He is at home for everything and does not come along past the first meeting.
We can host, which given the timing usually means somebody arrives for lunch and leaves before the traffic.
Not looking for anyone whose only free time is a weekday evening, because we will end up meeting four times a year and it will fade. Not looking for anyone who finds an afternoon unromantic. Not looking for anyone who will agree to two o'clock and then start suggesting eight, which has happened twice and both times was the beginning of the end.
Before the first drink Replying goes through the connected platform, so nothing about you is shared until you decide to share it. Take contact slowly and keep identifying details back until trust is earned. Meet somewhere public the first time, with your own way home from it, and if you are a couple then go together. Tell someone outside it where you are going. Never send money to someone you have not met. And if a post or a reply reads wrong, flag it rather than talking yourself out of the feeling.
Before you answer a post like this
Two people wrote this together, and both of them have to say yes to you. These are the three written for the man on the other end of it.
- What makes a single man read as safe
- Vetting a couple: the screening men skip
- The first meeting: a drink, all three of you
