Like many here, I have struggled with the early morning Woody that feels like it’s trying to rip our testicles out of us every dawn. People say they get better over time, but that doesn’t help when you’re in the thick of it right now. My wife has been patient, and I try hard not to wake her, though it’s nearly impossible because each time relief comes only by getting up, crossing the landing to the bathroom, sitting down, and trying to urinate—which finally works. Just minutes after returning to bed quietly and closing my eyes again, that familiar ache starts deep in the pit of my stomach.

This has been a major hurdle in convincing my wife to keep me wearing this chastity device long-term; she tolerates it somewhat but being on shift work makes her prone to annoyance, so something had to change. This week, with her staying at our son’s house, I’ve been locked up and suffering solo. I discovered a trick that I’ve tested every time an erection hits during the early hours (and there have definitely been several), and it seems to work beautifully without me needing to get out of bed.

I wear a steel ball trap style device where pressure buildup in the testicle area causes the pain; my penis is fully expanded within the cage, but the discomfort originates from where the balls meet the ring. I also use a waist chain that supports the device and keeps it closer to the stomach, helping prevent pull-out issues when the tube locks onto the locating pegs.

Here’s what works for me: When an erection occurs, I place two fingers of my left hand against my testicles while gently pressing them toward the ring. Simultaneously, with two fingers on my right hand, I massage the base of the scrotum away from the ring, keeping my knees slightly raised and feet flat on the mattress. Within about two minutes of stopping this maneuver, I feel the blood draining off as the erection subsides. It’s a peculiar sensation but very pleasant since the pain vanishes almost instantly. There’s no need for much movement, so your partner likely won’t even notice you doing it—they’ll just see that you slept through until morning. Give it a try and let me know if it helps; I’m certainly feeling less tired in the mornings now.

Where this goes next

Couples threads are logistics with feelings attached: what to write down, what to hand over, who pays for what, and how long any of it takes. Two of these pages are about the agreement itself, and the third is the honest answer about the calendar.
