Mature Metal discussion

I bought my Jailbird a size too large. It felt okay when I was eager to wear it for the first time, but after two weeks have passed, I realize it’s actually shrinking or just fitting loosely now and needs help determining the right fit. Check out this link for photos of me in it. the referenced community page The model shown has a 2.25” base ring. There is a 3/8” gap, and the cage dimensions are 1.5” X 3.25”. What do you reckon the proper measurements ought to be?
