I wanted to let everyone know that starting today, outside of my interactions with coworkers and customers, I will be living full-time as Bridget. I’ve been considering this for a while but was held back by fear. My wonderful Mistress and wife, Julie, has encouraged me repeatedly over time. There were several reasons for my hesitation, primarily wanting to shield her from the consequences. She convinced me that life is short and she loves me just as I am. Our dynamic of her being my Mistress and our cuckold arrangement will continue, hopefully even better than before.
Some female neighbors already know about Bridget and about me serving under her authority. Some men on my street have spotted Bridget and likely suspect the truth; no one has reacted badly or shown anything less than civility, though I’m sure some friends and neighbors are in for a surprise. In just a few minutes, I’ll be placing letters through their front doors to inform them about Bridget. We’re heading away for the rest of the weekend and will see how they react next week. I can say that while I am somewhat terrified, I also feel an amazing sense of freedom washing over me. It feels like forty years of hiding are finally ending, allowing me to truly be myself. And no, I’m not telling them about slave Bridget, just plain old Bridget…lol. I wanted to share this with you all because it is likely one of the most significant things I’ve ever done. Below is the letter I am sending:
To: My neighbors and friends,
First, I want everyone to know that what I’m about to tell you might shock some, perhaps disgust others, but hopefully most will simply understand and continue treating me as a friend. Some of you already know what I’m sharing today, and I appreciate your support.
For most of my life, I’ve felt an internal struggle within my mind and body that dates back to when I was just a small boy. This conflict has mostly stayed inside me, but as I’ve aged, I realized I no longer want to hide it. The issue concerns my gender and how this part of myself expresses in daily life. Since childhood, I have felt an incredibly strong urge to express the feminine side of who I am. It’s not a choice I made, nor is it something I can control; it simply exists as part of how my brain functions and connects. You could say I wish it would disappear or that I wished I didn’t feel this way so deeply, but that wouldn’t be true. For me, being feminine and expressing myself thusly brings joy and is a treasure.
So, with my wife’s full support, I have decided to live my daily life as a woman. I am telling you now because you will see me differently from here on out, and I didn’t want you discovering this via another neighbor or seeing an unfamiliar woman entering and leaving my home. To answer potential questions: no, I am not getting a sex change operation, nor will I be functioning professionally as a woman right away. I will simply dress and act like one. At some point, I may choose to tell my coworkers, but for now, it is too much. I don’t think many of my customers could handle it easily, and since earning a living is important in what I do, I’ve chosen to keep this personal for the time being. Since I mostly work from home and interact face-to-face with customers and colleagues less often, this allows me the freedom to be a woman almost constantly without impacting my job.
Now that you know, I hope you will support me or at least not reject me. I realize this might anger some or make others want to distance themselves. That would sadden me greatly, but I have lived my whole life knowing this truth about myself and always kept it hidden. Recently, I realized that this is also my life and it’s too short not to live as nature intended for me. With the delivery of this letter, true freedom has arrived, allowing me to be what I am internally and outwardly. Please know that I remain exactly who I have always been; if you liked me before, I think you will still like me now. At least, I hope so.
If you prefer not to associate with me, I understand and won’t hold it against you. If your religion or morals prevent you from interacting with me, that is something my wife and I must navigate. I want to emphasize that my marriage is stronger than ever; we are better friends now than before, so we will get through this together. Without her love, I never would have had the courage for this step.
I especially wish all men here to know that this does not affect the friendship I share with you. As mentioned, I am fundamentally unchanged and will remain the same person; only my appearance shifts. I ask only that you give me a chance to maintain our existing bond rather than judging or shunning me. You are welcome to still call me Bill if you wish, but Bridget is the name I use and how I feel inside. I can no longer lie to myself about who I am, so I can only pray that my friends and family accept and support me.
This has been the hardest decision of my life, and I hope you appreciate its difficulty. If you allow it, I look forward to introducing myself properly. Please don’t hesitate to ask if anything is confusing or unclear.
Sincerely, Your friend Bridget
