I have an average build (whether soft or hard), and my foreskin fully envelops the glans without extending beyond it. I wanted to share how I manage wearing a CB6000 successfully.

First, you must plug all six vent holes. If they remain open, either excess skin pokes through causing redness, or tiny blood vessels emerge and turn red—neither is ideal. I apply first aid tape from the pharmacy; it resembles Scotch tape but offers slight stretchiness and waterproofing. You place this on the interior of the tube to cover the holes, which can be tricky at first. It adheres well even after washing the device with dish soap. Others recommend using epoxy or putty for this step.

Second, coat the entire inner shaft with lubricant, regardless of which method you choose below.

Third, select the smallest spacer that is still comfortable; remember, your scrotum acts as the lock. However, opt for the second-smallest ring possible to avoid crushing the urethra (located behind the testicles, near the anus). Allow yourself a few weeks to gradually transition down to smaller components until you adapt. I am very at ease now.

Fourth, here is how to handle your foreskin:

Method #1: Use the stocking technique so that the foreskin covers the whole glans. Downsides include the risk of the skin poking out of the slot and getting pinched (you can tape over it, but this becomes tedious). Cleaning after a couple of days requires taking the device off. Also, my foreskin retains an imprint from the weld line. Honestly, the CB6000 wasn’t designed for that extra thickness provided by the foreskin, so it fits tightly. Upside: you barely feel your penis at all—completely gone sensation-wise.

Method #2: Begin with the foreskin covering the glans, then slide the penis in until the tip rests against the ridge (corona) of the plastic head. As you continue inserting, let the CB6000 shaft pull the foreskin back. With practice, you can achieve full retraction of the skin and complete insertion of the head without stretching it. Using a lubed Q-tip through the slot helps manage any loose bits. Expect some skin accumulation between the ring and the main body; use a Q-tip or dull pencil to keep this clear while inserting the pins. Advantages: better hygiene over several days, and no skin protruding from the slot. Disadvantages: the extra skin under the spacer (along with scrotal tissue) might feel pinched—I am used to it, but results vary. Another benefit: daytime sensations are fantastic! While I don’t think foreskin status drastically changes sexual sensation, being uncovered and constantly rubbed during the day definitely grabs your attention. (This last point could be a downside if you aim to curb excessive masturbation. However, future sex will feel amazing!)

Method #3: A hybrid of #1 and #2. You can use the stocking method with lots of practice or push a larger fold of foreskin past the tip before applying Method #2. The goal is for the foreskin to cover about two-thirds of the glans upon completion. You will still feel your penis, but it won’t be overwhelming, and there is no excess skin sticking out through the slot or under the spacer. This demands skill; I typically need three or four attempts to get it right. In daily use, I rely more on Methods #1 and #2.

Where this goes next

Couples threads are logistics with feelings attached: what to write down, what to hand over, who pays for what, and how long any of it takes. Two of these pages are about the agreement itself, and the third is the honest answer about the calendar.
