I’ve been hanging out here for a few months now and have been self-locking in the meantime, searching for the perfect device that fits me right. I figured it was time to bring my wife into the loop, though I was nervous she’d think I was crazy and turn me down. Eventually, I gathered up enough bravery and asked her to read this article ( After asking a few questions of her own, she went through some of this material Overall, it went really well. Her first question was, “I don’t get the point; I can have whatever I want while you get nothing?” lol. She still doesn’t quite grasp the ‘why’ for me, but she’ll figure it out eventually. Next up: “So I hold both keys, right?” You wouldn’t believe how turned on that made me feel. Of course she gets them; what fun would there be if I could just let myself out whenever I pleased? My device hasn’t returned from steelworx yet, but it ought to arrive soon. I am so excited! She is too! Explaining things isn’t my strong suit, especially with something like this. Having her read the perspective of a woman made it much easier and more useful for both of us. Also, in that ‘gwen in love’ piece about chastity, she really freaked out when her husband brought up being locked up, but eventually came around to realize it isn’t so weird after all. I hope this helps other guys who are on the fence about telling their wives.
