I just learned that my wife is going to need a hip replacement and back surgery. She’ll be out of action for at least two months, possibly longer depending on what the spinal specialist decides. My chastity training along with our domestic routines will help both of us get through her extended recovery period. It won’t feel like a game anymore; it’s becoming our actual reality. Ultimately, this setup should reduce the pain she is currently experiencing and let us enjoy PIV sex once more. I always wince when I see the pained expression on her face as she rises from sitting to start walking. That reaction pushed me into learning how to handle household chores better. The training has proven useful exactly when needed.

Apologies for sharing this here, but I feel like you are my particular community. I have never talked about our non-traditional sex life or my wife’s bisexuality with anyone outside of her partners, even among our closest friends. We belong to a generation where doing things differently could affect your standing if people found out. This is the first time I’ve opened up about our private world here, which explains why my posts tend to be so long—I have kept these thoughts tucked away for 43 years. We don’t view this as a tragic period because we were warned a few years back that it would happen and that it brings relief from her constant discomfort. She will regain the ability to do things she currently can’t, and our sex life won’t be limited by her restricted mobility anymore. Having PIV sex again after all these years feels like a blessing. Since opening her legs causes her pain now, this change removes that obstacle.

Please don’t feel compelled to respond; it’s clear you wish her well. As I mentioned earlier, the mood isn’t sad so much as nervous and hopeful for resolution.

Where this goes next

Couples threads are logistics with feelings attached: what to write down, what to hand over, who pays for what, and how long any of it takes. Two of these pages are about the agreement itself, and the third is the honest answer about the calendar.
