Locked up but ignored by my keyholder?

What do most KeyHolders and caged men here think about being “Locked and Forgot”? Here is what I am asking… when a husband or submissive gets locked up, how long without any attention at all—no teasing & discipline (T&D), no punishments, nothing—is considered truly forgotten? I’m not talking about being locked for 60 days but still teased, toyed with, or punished in between. I AM referring to being locked away and only let out for cleaning and doctor visits etc., otherwise ignored with just the hope or promise of “soon” coming. I don’t want to be topping from below, but sometimes I feel like I’ve locked myself up as a self-sacrifice while my keyholder is completely disinterested and neglectful. I’d also love opinions from Keyholders here, not just men.

I am mostly against the "set it and forget it" approach; you boys are not a freaking slow cooker. There might be a select few guys who enjoy that... It is really not something most men want or can handle mentally or emotionally. SOME kind of attention is required... I did one of our podcasts for the ladies about paying attention to the little things and avoiding the set it and forget it trap.
