Looking for thoughts and advice from the community: I know many people here have been switching to progressively shorter cages, so perhaps some of you have dealt with this issue. Ever since getting my compact MCN Contender, I’ve been very satisfied, except one thing: if it stays on for two weeks or longer (usually, my keyholder only lets me out once every 2-3 months), the underside of my cock becomes tender and sore, taking a few days to recover. I call this “abrasion” because that’s how it feels (raw and sensitive) and what it looks like (reddish and inflamed), but I’m not sure if it’s caused by actual skin rubbing against the scrunched-up tissue, lack of airflow, or just moisture preventing proper drying… I really appreciate this shorter cage because it effectively stops even minor erections from developing (for me, blood still flows well into the external part and creates hard swelling inside my body behind the bars), making it harder to “cheat” through the gaps. I’m a grower type but not small when flaccid, so there is some bunching up in the cage. Yet, it’s completely comfortable (I don’t feel that abrasion while wearing it). Despite worrying about dryness, hygiene has been fine—I can clean thoroughly between the bars with some effort (and by partially pulling back to create space), and I never notice any bad smells. It’s just that when it comes out, the skin is raw and sore. Of course, since releases are so rare, I’d prefer only pleasurable feelings during those moments! Also, I’m slightly concerned about whether this could lead to more significant damage over time. Does anyone else with a short cage (relative to their flaccid length) experience this? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Currently, my keyholder lets me out every two weeks for some air and vitamin A&D ointment, but that might not be often enough—perhaps weekly breaks are needed? I’m not fond of the idea though—I feel exposed without the cage and don’t want to be freer than necessary if her preference is otherwise.
