Testing Plastic Cages: Is the Odor Real?

Morning everyone. Right. I’ve done a clear out. Thrown away several cages because they were either too large, too heavy, or just too much hassle. I was using a steel one. However, with slippage and my 5-inch ball sack, I had to lace it up securely. This meant people would occasionally see the laces, so I decided to give something lighter a go. I bought one of those black and red patterned ones that is shorter than the metal version. It fits tightly. A lot of skin gets folded in nicely. My wife liked how it looked and called it stylish. Wearing it at night was much better since it kept my erection contained within the cage bulge rather than pulling on my testicle. So far, so good. However. When I get aroused (which happens quite often when thinking about my wife), I leak pre-cum. This fluid seems to develop an odor if trapped inside. It wasn’t such a big deal with the BC version though. The cage design doesn’t let much air reach the penis. There are plenty of vents, but none at the bottom, so things gather there. I’m being more thorough with cleaning now—wet wipes, rinsing, etc.—and it stays clean. But after about half a day, freshness fades. It’s very noticeable when you take it off. My wife referred to it as my “stinky plastic Willie”. Also. I’ve noticed the penile skin doesn’t look too happy where it bunches up; perhaps a breathing issue? I ordered a slightly larger cage of the same type, but with vents underneath. Encouraged by how well the smaller size worked relative to others, I also got a smaller version of my original steel one. I’ve noticed that the plastic ring “grips” significantly better than metal does. The question is. Do all plastic/resin devices tend to smell quite a bit? I’m what you might call a super grower. My flaccid size can drop to 2.5 inches, but there’s nearly 8 inches of skin inside the cage when expanded. Cage diameter is 2.5 inches. Am I squeezing too much in? And finally. Is there a selection of plastic rings compatible with these metal birdcage-style devices? It would help reduce weight and improve grip. Cheers!
