Swollen Shaft Under the Cage?

I’ve got a Cherry Keeper small on, which is essentially a cage for the glans of my penis. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen clear swelling appear on the right side of the shaft, just behind where the cage sits. When I take it off, my penis looks deformed with a “bump” on that same right-hand side near the head. It doesn’t hurt, but she gets worried about potential damage. Has anyone else dealt with this? Do you know what’s going on?

I have an appointment Friday to get checked out; the cage has left visible marks and bruising from its bars on the glans. Until those heal up, I’ll keep it off. It looks like I won’t put it back on until late Friday evening.

After being uncaged for about 12 hours, the swelling subsides, though there’s still some minor irritation from the tight grip of the large headlock.
