Is My Scrotal Color Change Normal While Caged?

My wife and I got our first cage for her property just yesterday. It’s a Holy Trainer with the short shaft and 45mm ring. Getting it on took a bit of time (I couldn’t help but get hard in the process), but we managed. For my initial attempt, it was much less uncomfortable than expected. Once I got distracted enough, I actually stopped noticing it. However, I noticed my scrotum turning slightly blue. I know discoloration is common with cock rings on the penis, but I wasn’t sure about the sack. It never truly “hurt,” and after a while, it shifted to a redder hue, though my wife was worried so I removed it. The strange part was that it turned blue again shortly after removal, then went back to red. No pain or numbness occurred at any point.

I ended up sleeping in the cage overnight (what an eye-opener; I didn’t realize how many nighttime erections I have), and took it off for work. Since I haven’t really paid attention to my scrotal color before, I don’t know if there’s anything to worry about. Thoughts?
