I’ve just wrapped up the third week of wearing my Chinese cage around the clock, and it’s been ill-fitting. The first two weeks were rough with significant pinching and irritation; my wife had to let me out for 24 hours on two separate occasions so I could heal up. Sleep was also a struggle.

But things shifted miraculously over the past weekend. On Friday, I realized I barely felt it anymore. There was some slight discomfort when lying down that night, but by Saturday morning, I had completely forgotten about being caged. That comfort has persisted.

What really surprises me is that this cage feels a bit too small even for my tiny weenie (2 inches flaccid). You can see how I “leak” out in the photo linked above. The ring itself fits perfectly at 1 3/4”, so I plan to keep using it once my permanent home arrives from MM. I used to think I’d just have to endure chafing and pinching until William built me a proper cage.

This experience has changed how I view device fitting. It seems the specific dimensions of the cage body matter less than one might expect for comfort; the key is really the cock ring. If it’s too tight, you’ll never get used to being caged. Too loose, and your ball might slip out on its own—I had that happen with a 2” ring.

Looking through this forum, I see most fit complaints come from newcomers. Even seasoned guys are unhappy during the first two or three weeks of wearing a new device. I never expected to be comfortable here. In fact, I ordered a slightly longer and wider cage from China as a placeholder until MM finally ships my Jail Bird. The new Chinese one was delayed by the New Year holiday, so it hasn’t arrived yet. It will look better visually, but since this short cage has no real fit issues for me now, I don’t really “need” it anymore. I might even sell them (I accidentally bought two — long story).

The lesson? There’s a “break-in” period for any new device. It is exceedingly rare for a device to truly “disappear” in those first few weeks of 24/7 wear. My advice: don’t quit or rush to change things. Just tough it out. If your weenie gets irritated, ask Mrs. Lion for a day’s release so you can heal. Let’s be honest, caging is a major physical and emotional shift. If you’re serious about it, you need to prepare for both adjustments. In my case, they were unexpected but manageable. Good thing too; Mrs. Lion shows no signs of ending this forced chastity anytime soon.

Where this goes next

Every thread on this board is somebody in the same few months of their life, told from different ends of it: the conversation that has not happened yet, the one that ended in tears, the drink that went well, and the weeks afterwards. The site has a page for each, and one account of an evening written while it was still fresh.
