I’m attempting to readjust to my MM Queen’s Keep following an eight-month hiatus from being locked. During my previous period in the device, I had become quite comfortable with round-the-clock wear, experiencing only occasional minor discomfort, and I had also stepped down a base ring size. Once I got accustomed to it, that smaller new base ring felt more secure and pleasant.

Jumping ahead to now: okay, maybe I’ve put on some pounds. I’m having a tough time readjusting. Evenings and nights are manageable, but by mid-morning the discomfort from my swelling scrotum gets bad enough that I need my spouse to unlock me for a bit. She isn’t thrilled about this, nor am I. Following William’s advice, I plan to send the device back so they can stretch the base ring slightly and possibly widen the gap as well. Yes, I’m working on losing weight too. But with the holidays in full swing, it’s tricky.

I see eye-to-eye with Thumper: some discomfort is normal and part of the chastity life, but not so much that you can’t function normally during your day.

Here’s my question: Is any scrotal discomfort harmful to our long-term health? Inflammation is one factor linked to cancer development. If wearing the device causes redness and swelling over time, should we worry about it? T&D certainly brings light to moderate ache, which I don’t want to sacrifice though. I’ve dealt with moderate pain before; usually if I sit down and relax, it fades and I can carry on. I’ve never quite managed a completely pain-free 24/7 experience, so I envy those who have. What do you all think?

Where this goes next

Every thread on this board is somebody in the same few months of their life, told from different ends of it: the conversation that has not happened yet, the one that ended in tears, the drink that went well, and the weeks afterwards. The site has a page for each, and one account of an evening written while it was still fresh.
