Finished my two-year term! Time to part with the gear. Mature Metal Jailbird…1 year old 2 1/2” long cage 1 1/4” wide cage 1 7/8” oval ring (2”X 1 3/4”) 5/16ths inch gap I tweaked it for plastic locks, adding a second hole specifically for the plastic lock and threading the padlock hole to take 8-32 SS allen head screws. This doesn’t change using a standard padlock either. From day one I had issues with regular padlocks; the play in that round hole made the cage shift out of alignment and rotate sideways. The screw keeps it tight and resolves that issue. If you prefer high security screws, you can buy them from MM (if they match threads) or have them fit it. Asking $250 with free priority shipping within the USA! Next up are a couple of Tight squeeze devices (from China). They helped me determine the right size for my Jailbird. The cages are roughly 2” long; one is 1 1/4’ wide and the other is 1 3/8” wide.
