Over the past fortnight, my wife has embraced her position as keyholder. Since she tends to be quite plain and low-key in terms of sexuality, I persuaded her that it would benefit us both if I took on all household duties—cooking, cleaning, and generally catering to her needs.
Things are going smoothly, but I’d like to see her step up with more assertiveness. At the moment, she submits a nightly list of tasks for me, and I try to intercept any chores she might do herself so that I can handle them instead; however, this level of service doesn’t come naturally to her.
