Birdlocked discussion

Hello everyone! Here is my review of the birdlocked used with a Prince Albert piercing. I’ve been wearing it for nearly two months now, paired with the PA. I had to make several adjustments so that it would work well for me; I hope some of this information will be useful to others as well. General advice: Initially, getting my testicles into place was tricky. Partly because of me. You really need to rotate the birdlocked by 90 degrees when inserting your balls. Their website explains this clearly, and I overlooked that suggestion at first. Doing so makes insertion much easier. My scrotum also needed a bit of stretching before things became smooth (this took about one or two weeks; now they slide in within seconds). To help with the stretching process for me, I stopped using the strap between my balls for a week to allow more room until everything was stretched sufficiently. I use olive oil as lubricant and it has worked very well. Make sure you apply plenty of lube especially during the initial period. Also shave your testicles (I use Aveeno body wash in the shower, which makes shaving quick and easy). Shaving helps get balls into place more easily and prevents hair from getting pinched throughout the day. However, even with these tips I still encountered issues with the birdlocked. My two main problems were:

1. Being a ‘shower’ meant filling up the device, causing skin to ‘bubble’ through the lower holes. Solution: Buy some clear silicone [I], apply tape inside the holes and fill them with silicone. Allow it to dry for at least 24 hours (silicone is toxic during the first day of curing) (see pic) the archived discussion
2. Irritation from the PA piercing. Solution: I solved this through a major modification. I suggest trying this only if you essentially decide that the device can’t be used without drastic changes. These issues may have arisen because I am ‘shower’. First, I cut the ‘pee hole’ larger towards the bottom so the entire PA ring hangs outside the device. The constant pressure on my PA when it was wrapped inside caused significant irritation (sometimes even blood during nighttime erections!). I used regular small scissors to cut downwards from the pee hole in the birdlocked. Enlarged the opening to 1.5 to twice its original size (see pic). the archived discussion Second, the metal wire passing through the PA holes constantly dug into my glans. Very uncomfortable! This required a significant change. To start with, I didn’t like the ‘strap’ between the cage and balls much. It might help when pulling out or other things, but you can’t pull out while wearing the PA version with the wire in place, so for me it was useless and uncomfortable. So I decided to ‘recycle’ the silicone from that strap to fix my PA wire cutting into my glans. I removed the strap. Then cut a smaller piece fitting between my PA piercing and metal wire. Cut this piece lengthwise once more to reduce its bulk. Inserted this silicone piece between the wire and PA piercing to stop it from cutting my head, which works well now. Ensure the width of your piece matches approximately the distance between the two PA holes so it stays securely in place all day long. the archived discussion After these modifications I have had no further irritation or issues. But they are substantial changes and since you can only cut once, measure several times to be absolutely certain about them. I only recommend proceeding if you plan to keep the birdlocked permanently despite these problems.
