Several folks have requested or proposed that I document our journey into chemical castration. Although it’s been two months since we started and I’ve finally found the time, I decided to give it a shot.

We’ve observed strict chastity dating back to early last year. Earlier this year, my wife confessed she had been lacking sexual desire for nearly two years and wasn’t interested in taking hormones to bring it back. She also mentioned that while the chastity was certainly a relief for her, she still felt guilty about my constant hunger. She asked me to accept chemical castration to ease that final bit of guilt. I agreed right away; even though we are equals, her happiness is paramount in my life.

She had done some online research and recommended Cyproterone acetate as the solution. We did need to find an overseas pharmacy for it since it isn’t approved here in the US. On May 19, I took my first dose of Androcur, an anti-androgen that blocks androgen receptors from functioning with natural androgens and suppresses further production if needed. At high enough doses, it also halts testosterone production, which often leads to zero desire or ability eventually. Since every case varies, there’s no fixed timeline.

The effects didn’t happen overnight. In fact, it took a couple of weeks before I realized my interest in porn and near-obsession with sex had dropped dramatically—by about 98%. It was closer to the one-month mark when the drop in libido and physical signs truly became noticeable. My desire hadn’t hit zero yet, though. A person I consider my mentor on this quest loosely suggested that adding finasteride could get me to a basic eunuch status. So we added the new medication, and after another month, my desire is definitely nearing zero, with only one instance since those first couple of weeks. Even so, I still occasionally have rare spurts of desire, but there’s absolutely no sign of physical ability. During that single time when desire flared up, I noticed a small amount of pre-cum, yet there was no attempt at erection.

Our plan is to keep the medication levels steady—100mg Androcur twice daily and 1mg finasteride once daily—until we hit the 12-month mark. According to most information we’ve read, that’s when effects should not only be definitely permanent but also irreversible. At that point, if I haven’t reacted in a long while, we plan to remove the cage to test results however she wishes. If it clearly appears non-reactive, the cage will stay off and the meds will begin tapering down toward zero. All of this is based on what we’ve gathered from research and personal stories shared by others on other forums.

I think I’ve covered everything for today, but there are no guarantees. Feel free to ask questions or offer advice if you have any.
