Alright, I’ve been confined within a Mature Metal Jailbird for the past 56 hours non-stop. I bought this pre-owned device from another member right here in the community. The measurements are as follows: Base ring: 2” diameter Cage ring: 1-7/16” Cage length: 3.5” It includes a security screw option. To top it off, I am secured to the Jailbird via my PA piercing using the “captive” ring that was put back in by the piercer. First things first, while buying new would have been nice, proper cleaning makes used items perfectly fine. Perhaps in time we will get a brand one. The quality is ASTOUNDING!! Words like “work of art” and then “piece of jewelry” come to mind immediately. If I could stroll around naked showing it off, I definitely would! Now, coming from the world of “the curve,” what’s my first impression comparing the Jailbird? It’s night and day. The internal dimensions are identical between both devices, except the Jailbird’s tube is 1/2” shorter. This was PERFECT since we knew a PA piercing would be used. We were also using a 2” ring on the Curve. The major difference lies in the outside dimensions. With the Curve, I couldn’t sleep face-down without raising a knee because of its bulkiness. With the Jailbird, it feels like I’m not wearing any chastity at all! That’s no exaggeration!! Morning “wood” hasn’t been problematic either. There is some slight “expansion,” but nothing causing pain or side soreness. How did Mature Metal achieve that?? The only real discomfort comes from the ring while working and from the PA getting pinched against the Jailbird itself. I might need a larger ring; not sure yet since my nuts aren’t turning purple;) They seem to still be adjusting (100psi). The PA was tricky when wearing briefs at work due to constant support on the “tip,” which caused some involuntary pinching of the skin between the device and the PA. Today, I wore boxers while working hard all day outdoors. I missed that extra device support initially, causing the ring to rub against the insides of both legs. After four hours, I got used to it and could feel the “dingle, dangle” of the PA ring again. So, an oval-shaped ring might be better for my active job. However, switching back to boxers eliminated that constant pinching! LoL! So what’s next? So really, all the downsides (if they can even be called that) stem from a potentially undersized ring and the PA itself. Aside from those factors—which aren’t directly related to the Jailbird—it scores 10+ points. Oh, how could I forget cleaning?? A DREAM!! It’s incredibly easy, dries super fast, and applying Pur is simple. All parts are easily reachable. With the PA included, it gets a 9 for me, though it wasn’t originally designed specifically for that purpose; we added it on ourselves. But it was absolutely necessary in our case. Personally, I feel better locked by two people—the piercer & my wife—so I can’t get out solo (LoL!!). By the way, the piercer LOVED the device, saying it looked “hot”. Then my wife agreed with a big smile as they both watched after the “installation.” I guess that boosted his ego slightly, which is good because nothing else seems to be getting attention anytime soon. LoL! Ahem, if you all don’t mind me adding this… Jailbird = 9 out of 10. A locking “PA” option would make it a perfect 10 by truly securing you inside the device. -I
