Introductions discussion

I had another idea and wanted to share it with everyone. Have you ever needed to deal with any uncomfortable inquiries? If so, who asked them, about what, and how did you respond? Did these questions discourage you or spark some excitement (mildly or strongly)?

For instance, I’ve recently painted my husband’s toenails. He had overlooked this task. One day he spilled tea on his sock and took it off right in front of our daughter. She giggled and asked why his toenails were bright pink. He replied that Mummy was playing around with them and did the painting. Later, that same child turned to me and wondered why I had painted John’s toenails as well. So, I quickly pulled down my sock and explained that they are just as pretty as mine! She accepted this explanation and wandered off contentedly. Another of my daughters (I have three in total) then asked about the key hanging from my necklace. I simply told her it was a padlock key, and I wear it around there to avoid misplacing it again… She left reasonably satisfied without asking any more questions… All these interactions made me smile inwardly.
