We’ve had the cb-3000 for six months now. My setup includes a 6 ga PA with a ball that locks it into the front slit. Lately, I’ve been dealing with “bruising” episodes followed by severe swelling. The urologist looked puzzled and asked lots of questions about why this was happening; he recommended switching up my lube—I had been using neosporin. Since making the switch to Glysomed, I still had another swell-up over the weekend.
Typically, it starts with a “pinch” sensation, similar to when the ring catches against the device’s plastic, but checking shows it’s just pressed firmly against the end. Another sign is a puffy “pillow” on my shaft right at the junction of the base ring and the device. Later, once we remove the unit, there are “pillows” all around the shaft. Gravity seems to play a role here. If I tape the shaft upward for several hours, those pillows vanish, though the head stays bruised before drying out, peeling, and cracking. It’s not exactly comfortable overall.
I suspect people in this community have likely encountered something similar more than my urologist (and his Physician Assistant) have seen.
Attaching some photos taken by my wife here. (Oh, also linking a tumblr post about it… )
