- Mostly inStarting out
Lately I’ve snapped two rings on my CB6000 and am trying to pinpoint why. My unit is a knockoff bought from eBay during the bargain days, mostly because I was dipping my toes in and worried authentic models might be just as poorly constructed. After some irregular wear while figuring out fit and cleaning methods, I started wearing it seriously about two months back. It didn’t take long to realize that my girlfriend likes having me grind the cage into her clothed… so we made a habit of it. A few weeks in, one day while on top pushing harder than usual, the base ring broke right where the guide pins pass through. I ordered an authentic replacement from KFH and locked up again two days ago. The new ring wasn’t quite perfect; it’s thicker and slightly larger around compared to the fake, and the guide pins don’t slide in as smoothly. Last night I did some light grinding with my girlfriend but pushed much lighter than before. Tonight though, the new ring snapped while I was sitting at my computer, seemingly without cause. Is this just what you expect when pushing on a cage like that? If so, it suggests the dildo attachment might be equally susceptible to breaking the base ring too. Or is it an isolated incident? I hope for the latter because I really can’t afford a custom metal device soon, but I don’t want to keep throwing money at a flimsy plastic one either. Silicone doesn’t seem like a practical choice for me.
