MM Jailbird Fits Well But Ring Slips

The MM Jailbird showed up yesterday. It fits nicely, and I slept with it without any trouble. The issue I’m facing is identical to what happens with my CB6Ks. My typical flaccid measurement is 2”, so I used the standard formula and chose the 1.75” size. That seems fine for now. However, when things shrink below that average, the top of the ring occasionally slips off. The clearance works well enough to keep the cage from falling away completely, but it can be tricky getting re-inserted when growth returns to 2” or more.

So, I’m debating whether sending this back for a conversion from round to oval would solve the problem. Going smaller doesn’t seem right; I tested the next size down and found it too snug. Any thoughts?
