birdlocked: how the forskin swells up and forms bubbles

Hello. I own the Birdlocked Classic in two different sizes, and while the smaller one fits best overall, it is quite snug.

I had a difficult night filled with significant ball pain. The following day—after roughly 15 to 20 hours of wear—I took the device off and noticed my foreskin had swollen up on the side facing my testicles; it looked like a drooping lip. This has happened before, too.

Does anyone recommend pulling back the foreskin while wearing the device? Is there an ideal position for the skin?

Also, the small holes on the sides tend to create little bubbles of skin that usually cause issues. I don’t have much foreskin to begin with; it doesn’t fully cover the head. The swelling wasn’t severe, but I think leaving it on longer would make things worse. I’m quite frustrated because I managed to get through the night, yet I can keep it on for now.
