I’ve been lurking around and haven’t seen much talk about age in relation to MC. I admit, my interest really clicked when I hit my 40s, though looking back, the signs were always there. Reflecting on this, it seems that while the concept would have appealed to me twenty years ago, I doubt I could have stuck with it then. My hormones were surging and my life perspective wasn’t quite ready yet. As I’ve aged and those levels settled down, I feel like a child at an amusement park watching the sunset, pleading for the day not to end. One of the first things I noticed when starting MC was a surge in hormone-like energy that felt like it jumped forward by decades. Now, with the lights back on, I feel like that same kid realizing there are still six hours left before closing time! I’ve read mentions of men feeling perpetually half-aroused while wearing an MC device. I wonder if this points to a fountain-of-youth effect beyond just constant arousal; perhaps it extends youthful vitality into other areas of life too. Taken together, maybe there’s a common lifecycle arc where young men react poorly or tentatively at first, but as they age, their reactions shift toward full acceptance. As someone new to this journey, I’m curious what others think. What is the age spread here? Is this phase just something that happens early on and fades once the novelty wears off? Kat
