“do you folks manage to find the time for play and enough room to keep all your gear?” I was reading another blog—yes, a sissy one (I know they’re becoming my guilty pleasure)—and at the end, the author broke the fourth wall (using a theater term) and dropped her sissy persona to ask her readers, “How on earth do you people find the time for play and the space to store all your stuff?” That made me chuckle; I appreciated his comment. Some of what I read makes me wonder about time, room, and cost. Yes, I know a lot of it is fantasy, but this guy seemed pretty genuine and grounded. He has a middle-schooler at home, so running around the house in his baby doll outfit and heels isn’t really an option when his son is awake. Do you wait until the kids are asleep? Around 9 pm on weeknights I turn into a pumpkin myself. The last thing I’d want to be doing then is getting dressed up for play—or applying make-up to my husband so he can get ready. Ab and I live in a small house. Even before chastity, our kink accoutrements were quite compact and portable. Strap ons, harnesses, cuffs, vibrators, butt plugs, and an njoy pur wand don’t take up much room. The collection of chastity devices we’ve gathered over the last few months can still be held in two hands. Add a few thongs, a couple of blindfolds, scarves, and one or two corsets, and everything would fit into a large shopping bag. Our small house has a damp, somewhat smelly basement with a dirt floor. I wonder if I were truly passionate about bondage and wanted a dungeon whether I’d have pestered Ab to move so we could have a dedicated play space? Or would I have suppressed that desire because it wasn’t realistic for our tiny home? It’s a bit of chicken-and-egg logic. Has our life and environment limited or inhibited our kinks? Do I not want a dungeon just because I know I can’t have one? Or has the tying up in the kitchen been enough, meaning I don’t really need more? Just some thoughts for a Saturday afternoon. To me, chastity is nice because it’s small, discreet, and doesn’t demand a ton of expensive gear (technically, you don’t need any devices at all, though they are fun to have). It can be “practiced” even when the kids are awake and around. In this way, chastity fits well with what we’ve done in the past, which is probably why it was so easy to incorporate into our lives. Thoughts? As I said, mostly just rambling for a lazy Saturday. Comments welcome. D
