I headed out to the tree line for a quick pee (some of you might doubt or not grasp why this is necessary, but we don’t all reside in downtown areas), and my right testicle slipped through the opening. It was somewhat chilly that morning, which likely played a part. I’d started applying a small amount—just one drop—of silicone lube around the ring about three days prior, though I doubt that caused it. Before this, I used baby powder, which is fairly slippery and keeps the skin from adhering to the ring effectively. There was no pain; I only spotted it by looking down and noticing something wasn’t quite right.
I couldn’t really fuss with it much where I stood. I quickly attempted to push it back through, but that seemed impossible in my current spot. Then I considered popping out the other testicle so I could remove the device until evening, but that didn’t work either. Surprisingly, there was no pain this time, unlike a previous occurrence with my CB3000. So, I just shoved everything back into my pants, climbed into my truck, and drove to a client location.
To add complexity, I wasn’t alone, and the site lacked proper facilities (it’s an unfinished house requiring a walkthrough), leaving only a portable toilet available.
I weighed four choices:
- Push the nut back in place
- Pop out the other one
- Use the emergency key from its sealed packet
- Wait until I returned home to handle it
With just one nut holding things securely, and feeling quite comfortable overall, I chose option 4 for now, at least until I found a quiet spot with some privacy. I didn’t want to use the key or pop out that other testicle unless things got dire.
Eventually, I got a minute of solitude and tried pushing the nut back in. It wasn’t easy, but I managed to grab it and squeeze it back into place. A bit painful during the process, but manageable afterward. The soreness lasted around 10 minutes before everything settled down.
Not sure what caused this, but hopefully, it won’t recur. My new Steelheart arrived late last month, yet my wife hasn’t let me unlock it to test out yet. October was part of my “no touch” period, and she’s been a bit grumpy in November as well. I measured the new Steelheart against the ring I plan to wear; the gap is just 11.5mm. In contrast, my current Steelheart with its flat ring has a maximum width of 16mm. Hopefully, this tighter fit will remain comfortable while offering better retention.
Perhaps my testicles are shrinking (joking aside). -A
